About the Role:


The
Logistics Distribution Admin Specialist will be responsible for financial, operational and system analysis within the logistics department touching both transportation and warehouse activities.

The position will be responsible for leading daily operational activities such as manage inbound containers to mitigate demurrage and detention, follow up with SSL and carrier to ensure containers are dropped at Samsung warehouse in a timely manner.

In addition, a key component of this role is to analyze performance within the logistics area and recommend improvements and proactively provide solutions to reduce cost.

A Little more about the role and responsibilities:

  • Overall management and execution of inbound related processes to ensure the reduction and avoidance of all accessorial cost. Steamship line management and carrier management for all inbound related appointments
  • Warehouse utilization and Overflow facility: Manage Warehouse space and utilization by monitoring Inbound and Outbound, must be able to understand inventory levels and discuss with SCM so orders are dropped to reduce footprint in the warehouse and overflow
  • Oversee inventory stock level and future forecast to help determine warehouse exposure and risks
  • Create Stock transfer orders between plants by reviewing, preparing, and routing purchase orders
  • Develop specialized track and trace methodologies with Steamship line and factories / global GBM and ensure SECA is following all HQ policy and guideline
  • Require to regularly monitor and report any GR related risks or costs to upper management to help ensure correct budgeting and planning
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics operations to ensure all transactions are properly managed and reflected in the system to support the 4B annual SECA revenue
  • Perform reconciliation activities such as IDoc clearance, Alignment activities; and participate in inventory investigations on discrepancies, serial history reviews
  • Analyze risk, regular reporting to management on variances, risk and anomalies, as well as suggested improvement plans
  • Ensuring compliance with HQ / NAHQ guidelines to meet and exceed all logistics KPI results
  • Monitor all inbound/outbound supply from multiple points of origin and report on any variances to expected weekly receipt rates while providing solutions for stabilization and improvement in all inbound/outbound areas
  • Maintain the internal system (SAP ERP) orders, customer data, lead time tables, which may include Customer purchase order and Sales order mapping / maintenance; System data related to Customer Routing requirements and specialized pallet configuration data by each partner's specification.
  • Adhoc reporting and various duties as required

Requirements:


  • SAP / ERP competency required
  • Professional working knowledge of Global Freight Forwarding and Inbound Logistics
  • Wellversed in transportation Law, Incoterms, Importation SOP, Outbound carrier networks and fulfillment cycles in the Canadian market
  • Experience in relatable consumer market and SKU mix in Canada is an asset
  • Bilingual (French/English) would be considered an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • MS Office including intermediate to advanced Excel with emphasis on pivot tables, is required
  • Data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis experience with demonstrable, verifiable output and report creation is a must

  • Membership in good standing with an accredited supply chain and logistics designation or similar is preferred (P. Log., CITT / CCLP or similar)
  • 3+ years related experience in logistic
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Strong Consumer Goods market familiarity in Canada
  • Ability to proactively build strong relationships within a diverse organization
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple ongoing priorities
