Our client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure, has an immediate need for a
Business Analyst - Human Resources.

This is a contract position for six (6) months located in Calgary, Alberta.


Description

Accountabilities

  • Liaise between the project teams, tax, legal teams and operations teams to ensure requirements are captured and shared across enabling functions
  • Review, consolidate and create current state assessment visuals based on gathered list of services and programs
  • Cumulate and analyze data from business owners to conceptualize workflows across borders with highlighted tax and legal risks.
  • Elicit additional requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, service delivery descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose highlevel information into details, abstract up from lowlevel information to a general understanding
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: workflows, service delivery models and operating models
  • Deliver and/or participate in governance & control education and awareness of how to operate in a matrix organization
  • Successfully engage, drive and facilitate multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously
  • Manage and execute on required stakeholder and client engagement across project deliverables to support project plan and scope outline
  • Collaborate with project team members to progress the project forward as per project plan and scope outline
  • Manage and participate in Transition to base business scope and activities deemed to be out of scope for the project team

Required

  • 510 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with experience working with Human Resource Global Organizational Transformation Business Process / Continuous Improvement
  • 6 years of experience/Industry knowledge of Oil and Gas Organizations
  • Knowledge of Operating & Service Delivery Model for Human Resources
  • Previous experience with Merger, Acquisition & Divesture (would be an asset for this role)
  • Proven experience with use case and 'day in the life' scenario development
  • Experience with document analysis, workshops, service delivery descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Sciences and/or related field

  • Certification

  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI PBA)
