Our team boasts over 100 years of combined experience providing a range of services, including preventative maintenance programs, assessment, investigation, design, construction administration and quality assurance inspections associated with renovation, alternation and new construction projects.

Our London, Ottawa and Kingston branches are actively searching for an
Architectural/Structural/Building Envelope Project Coordinator.


Reporting to the Branch Manager, the
Project Coordinator will work with our project teams to investigate and assess structural and building envelope challenges and issues, and design and administer contracts for projects involving existing and new construction.

In this role you'll leverage your comprehensive technical understanding of roof / building envelope / structural performance to provide our clients with the most effective and efficient engineering solutions.


While you'll report to the branch office and visit project sites regularly, some of your work can be done remotely.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate projects, dealing directly with clients and leaders of other disciplines.
  • Perform engineering design and assessments for structures composed of various materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Utilize engineering software in the analysis of structural and architectural building components.
  • Write technical reports.
  • Edit specifications to suit projectspecific requirements.
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of building structural and envelope systems including structural and energy code compliance.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of facility management professionals and technicians to develop short and longterm capital planning for existing facilities.
  • Support Project Delivery Services during the project initiation and planning by reviewing material, cost and timing, estimates and reports for building envelope and structural systems including code compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with other project team members to provide excellent client service.
  • Supervise and perform structural and building envelope testing and investigation.

Key Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in civil/structural engineering, architectural technology or a related field. or an equivalent combination of trade knowledge and experience.
  • 36 years of progressive experience in engineering / architecture / construction.
  • Familiarity with exterior building envelope trades including masonry, roofing, glazing, etc.
  • Strong technical construction knowledge and skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant provincial building code, energy code, Acts and regulations.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with contract management.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and a variety of project management, CAD, and architectural design software packages.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player.
  • Adaptable to different work environments.
  • Willing to travel for work.

Salary:
$54,159.20-$70,100.00 per year
