Description

The Project & Process Specialist will oversee organizational projects that affect multiple departments while working alongside users to develop and document requirements for projects.

The Project & Process Specialist will also be responsible for understanding the pain points and goals for each department, while identifying opportunities to improve the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Managing the top of the project funnel and change management from the IT groups to the business.
  • Gathering preliminary requirements for new projects.
  • Assisting the Executive team in prioritizing the funnel of work.
  • Understanding the pain points and goals for each department.
  • Facilitating Big Vision meetings.
  • Defining MVP (mínimal viable product).
  • Identifying opportunities to improve process in individual departments and corporatewide.
  • Lead the full project cycle from initiation to post rollout, which includes clear outcomes for each phase/sprint with a strong focus on identifying communication, engagement, change management, and training needs.
  • Build strong relationships and trust with stakeholders, keeping them and their team engaged in the project and ensuring alignment and support for expected outcomes.
  • Deliver detailed project proposals to senior leadership to determine the overall goal and priority of projects.
  • Develop project plans, line of sight priorities, goals, and budgets; identify resources, manage team velocity, and timelines needed.
  • Proactively manage project risk by creating solutions to keep them low.
  • Assist in preparing demos and sprint reviews with users and focus groups.
  • Promote project management best practices and industry standards and train others on PM tools and processes when needed.
  • Facilitate discussion, decisionmaking, and conflict resolution.
  • Support efforts for grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Other appropriate responsibilities relevant to the role today and the role as it may evolve.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Degree/Diploma in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, a related program of study, or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including resource planning and risk management.
  • 3+ years of direct experience utilizing Agile Development.
  • Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Excellent ability to analyze complex situations and find creative solutions.
  • Exceptional communications skills, including the ability to converse at both a technical and business level to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both operational and strategic needs.
  • Able to build relationships at all levels, both within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Experience in the areas of process design, business/systems solution design, and change management.
  • Strong logical and analytical problemsolving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Adaptable selfstarter who thrives in fastpaced, ambiguous environments.
  • Able to perform computer work, including typing and other fine motor movements for up to 80% of each shift.
