Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team at Yuzuki. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes to our customers.

Duties:

Prepare and create a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of sushi orders
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Train and mentor junior sushi chefs as required

Skills:

Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including cutting, slicing, rolling, and presentation
Experience working in a fastpaced restaurant or sushi bar environment
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of different types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi preparation
Ability to work well under pressure and meet customer demands during peak hours
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen team
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
