Side Hoe/backhoe Operator - Edmonton, Canada - Streamline Construction
Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a variety of duties related to water & sewer trenching, ditching and varied excavation
- Reading and interpreting ground markings to ensure proper grade is followed
- Using an excavator/backhoe to dig to proper grade and depth
- Using an excavator/backhoe to break out and remove asphalt and concrete
- Lowering materials
- Excellent communication with Foreman, Operators and Crew Members
- Perform daily equipment and safety maintenance checks
- Cleaning of heavy equipment
- Observe and report any hazards
- Ability to work as part of a team
Required Experience & Additional Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a operator is preferred
- Thorough understanding of construction site safety practices
- Must have your own transportation and valid drivers license
- Overtime will be required during peak construction months
- RSTS or CSTS Certificate is an asset
