An important position has just opened in our Client's
Production Department:
Production Supervisor $95K ANNUALLY.
This role is essential to leading & coordinating the Production Team towards producing clinker and cement within safety & quality parameters, while meeting budget and customer needs.
Responsibilities include:
1) Supervising control operators, quality control, field operators and quarry operators. 2) Safety oversight & disciplinary action; housekeeping; operational control policies; productivity, quality of work & utilization audits; environmental compliance monitoring; adhering to Collective Agreement terms.
Lead, coordinate and manage production teams for clinker and cement
Meet the forecasted production of clinker and cement within the production budget while maintaining a high standard in safety
Meet the quality objectives for raw mix, clinker and cement.
Administer the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement in a fair, firm, and consistent manner. Provide grievance counseling as required.
Promote good relations and communication between the maintenance and production departments.
Coordinate training for the production employees.
Ensure productivity, housekeeping and quality of work standards are maintained within the production department.
Provide leadership and ensure communication within a team environment to achieve the production objectives.
Report on the team's shift activities and observations, safety meetings and production level.
Complete the weekly payroll for the production teams.
Continental Shifts:
(6am - 6Pm) same 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, with rotating day and night shifts
- Education and
Work Experience:
_
Bachelor of Engineering degree or Technologist or relevant plant experience
At least three years manufacturing experience.
Knowledge of the cement technology and manufacturing process an asset
A solid track record of effectively, leading, managing and supervising a unionized work force
