S. Kelly Contracting is hiring for a Formwork Carpenter to join our team

Role:
Formwork Carpenter; full time permanent position at 40 hours/week, overtime work as needed

Company address: 3381 Cambie St, Vancouver, unit 267

Work Location:
various job sites in Lower Mainland


Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches
• Assemble and install formwork systems
• Provide sketches as needed and participate in solving on site issues
• Build structural formwork for concrete foundations, footings, retaining walls, columns, beams, suspended slab and shafts
• Layout for foundations walls and floors
• Ensure work is complete to code and is plumb straight and square
• Maintain a safe work environment for himself and co workers
• Use of power tools
• Cut and shape lumber as needed
• Use of mobile equipment once trained and certified
• Use of engineered formwork systems
• Supervisory role of crew/labourer and/or Junior role

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience as Formwork Carpenter (can be combined with maximum 2 years of apprenticeship)
• Good English skills (language of work)
• Certified Operator in Forklift Safety Training and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
• Fall Arrest Protection Training
• A minimum of basic level certification in Rigging
• Driver's license or ability to access job sites

Pay range:
$ $36.25/hour
