Primary Purpose
The Shipping/Receiving Admin Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments.

Duties will include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory.

This role is also responsible for AdHoc administrative duties as assigned.

Responsibilities/Job Duties

Shipping/Receiving:

  • Receive goods while verifying the quality and counts of items unloaded from trucks and trailers.
  • Verifies and records all shipment items and prepares bills of lading and shipping documents before loading.
  • Accurately maintains an ongoing shipping log and database to ensure customer orders are updated and appropriate billing documents are provided to the departments as required.
  • Notify supervisor of any discrepancies, over shipments or substitutions.
  • Complete claim information for intransit damages.

Administrative:

  • Greet and welcome all clients and visitors.
  • Answer, screen, and transfer phone calls to the appropriate department.
  • Responds to administrative inquires in a timely manner.
  • Maintains office supplies, filing systems and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
  • Performs other AdHoc administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Eligible and authorized to work in Canada
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software
  • Understanding of courier shipping systems and administrative duties such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with dock and warehouse procedures

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Pay:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
