Description
working under Repair Superintendent
- securing and shifting ships coming to the shipyard and within shipyard
- working on drydock, building docking blocks, docking ships, undocking ships, mobilizing equipment to the dry dock for trades,
- removing and installing stern gear (ie: rudders, propellers, shafts)
- rigging, signaling crane
- operating shipyard mobile equipment, crane mobile, forklifts,
- supporting other trades
- be physically fit. The job requires heavy manual Labour
- possess experience on an industrial work site
- have work schedule flexibility. Attendance at work can occur outside regular work hours to accommodate tides, critical project schedules
- be reliable


Ie:
will attend work punctually, go to breaks and return to breaks punctually.
- possess basic trade skill - do basic math, be able to use a measuring tape, use basic hand and power tools,
- be self - motivated
- be able to work in a group environment
- be literate and able to communicate effectively in verbal and written format
- possess common sense


Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary, Contract, Permanent

Contract length: 3-4 weeks


Salary:
From $47.16 per hour

Expected hours: 38.75 per week
