    Project Title

Transformative Digital Platform for Assessing Flood Risks and Enhancing Transportation Infrastructure Resilience

    Your Challenge

NRC is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to carry out research on the development of a comprehensive risk assessment platform to simulate flood events on Canada's transportation networks and to develop risk mitigation strategies. The goal is to strengthen disaster planning and preparedness, covering all phases from pre-event preparation to post-event recovery. The platform will consist of two main modules, one simulating the impact of floods on transportation infrastructure and the other modelling the effects of preventive and restorative interventions. The envisioned platform aims to provide flood risk information and guidance to infrastructure managers, enabling effective decision-making in transportation infrastructure management and enhancing the resilience of transportation networks and the communities they serve.
