Description


Come and join our small, but dynamic, feminist team If you are passionate about working to advance substantive equality for all women and are a team player, we are currently accepting resumes for a Project Manager - Development.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Project Manager will take on a multi-faceted role that includes fundraising, donor stewardship, direct mail, and other fund development initiatives to build and sustain donor support, as well as event planning, coordination and execution working closely with other members of the NAWL team.


Key Responsibilities


As the Project Manager, you will be a part of a collaborative team and responsible for planning and delivering on a range of goals according to NAWL's strategic and financial sustainability plans, with a focus on fundraising campaign development and implementation, and organizational capacity building.


Key deliverables:
Building and executing a fundraising strategy to better support program delivery, outreach, operational needs and future growth. Planning and executing a major fundraising campaign. Preparing knowledge translation and sustainability measures / guide for the organization's ongoing long-term efforts.

  • Creating and implementing innovative giving opportunities to attract new donors
  • Making connections between and among people, events and programs and their associated circles to increase support while building donor relationships that focus on transformation rather than transactions.
  • Developing strategic goals for marketing and communication to lead the campaign delivery of the above.
You will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-directed individual committed to supporting the success of NAWL's strategic goals.


Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education in Project Management, Communication, Marketing, or Public Relations, Social Services, Community Development, or Organizational Development studies or related disciplines, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a communitybased, gender equality advocacy environment focused on organizational development, strategic plan delivery, nonprofit management, and fundraising.
  • Track record of management success working on a large, comprehensive fundraising campaign is an asset.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques related to donor acquisition and retention, fundraising, annual campaigns, monthly giving, planned giving and corporate giving.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Possess strong leadership and business skills, including the ability to coach, and collaborate with staff and volunteers.
  • Experience in working with board members and other highlevel volunteers in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in development of fundraising initiatives and soliciting funds.
  • Coordinating the work of volunteers at events by providing training and supervision.
  • Experience in records management including maintaining information in databases.
  • Experience coordinating the logistics of fundraising initiatives.
  • Familiarity with online giving platforms and how to use them to raise money for the organization.
  • Experience in program evaluations and methodologies.
  • Experience supporting committees and coordinating inperson and virtual meetings and platforms for same.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal, English or French), and interpersonal skills. Bilingualism (English and French) an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management and problemsolving skills with the ability to meet conflicting priorities and balance multiple projects.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong planning, project management skills with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative and good judgment, and be an effective team member.
  • Clientcentred services oriented with demonstrated listening and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain a broad perspective; ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization.
