KIMBO Design an award winning full-service creative agency located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. KIMBO is a leader in marketing and communications services and has a history of producing effective, award-winning campaigns.Our collaborative team of industry professionals are known for delivering high-quality work that includes digital and print media as well as website development.
Currently we are looking to fill an opening for aBusiness Development Lead.
Main Duties
- Business Development
- Being proactive and innovative in identifying new business opportunities and establishing relationships
- Engaging clients (current and potential) to establish new relationships and opportunities.
- Following up via phone call on current leads
- Organizing and maintaining opportunities in Salesforce CRM
- Leading "Kickoff Meetings" when projects begin with new clients (introduce the creative team)
- Working with the Management team to gather pricing and create Letters of Engagement and Quotes
- Prepare PowerPoint Presentations for Sales or Pitching Sessions
- Proposal Writing (Request for Proposals)
- Conducting research to discover RFPs suitable for the company familiarity with online bidding portals like BC Bid and Federal/Corporate Bidding Platforms is mandatory.
- Writing the RFP (utilizing previous proposals, tailoring each submission for the prospective client/project)
- Ensuring proposal documents meet RFP requirements and are company brandcompliant
- Assisting in the preparation of site visit/bidders, meetings and oral presentation materials as required
- Organizing proposal debriefs after an RFP submission
- Working with the creative and development team to produce engaging client and company content for response to proposals
Education and Experience
- The positions require a Bachelor's Degree and at least five years of proven sales management experience and results or the equivalent in successful sales leadership roles.
- Must have some kind of experience in the advertising/marketing space.
- Knowledge of WordPress Websites and technical consulting is an asset.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Selfinitiating and capable of working with mínimal daily supervision.
- Receptive to direction and critique
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively and proactively with various professionals at every level of public and private organizations.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office including the ability to create and modify styles in Word
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce (ability to customize etc.)
- Excellent English language skills; good understanding of grammar, punctuation, spelling and idioms
- Thorough understanding of writing for marketing purposes for the desired response of "closing the deal"
- Thorough understanding of interviewing creative/technical staff in order to develop budgets and pricing for proposals.
