Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Process, Coordination, and Lifecycle Management: Take ownership of the contract process in collaboration with Senior Contract Specialist. Manage contract lifecycles, track deliverables, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure necessary actions are completed. Offer guidance to stakeholders on contract milestones such as renewal deadlines. Facilitate communication with external customers/vendors for contract modifications and negotiations.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Collaborate with Legal, Senior Contracts Specialist, and other relevant teams to identify potential contract risks. Develop and implement strategies to effectively mitigate risks.
  • Performance Metrics and Process Improvements: Design and manage a contract management dashboard to monitor department performance metrics. Address any discrepancies and collaborate with the team to identify and implement process enhancements.

Apttus System Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance of the Apttus system, ensuring document owners are updated and all contracts and versions are correctly uploaded and archived. Propose and implement system improvements for enhanced data management and reporting capabilities.

  • Annual Review and SOP Compliance: Lead annual contract reviews following current standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Central Intake Application (CIA) System Monitoring: Monitor the CIA system and assign tasks to the McKesson Legal team as needed.
  • Task Tracking and Follow-up: Monitor all tasks submitted to Legal and ensure timely responses within agreed-upon timelines.

General Responsibilities

  • Review contracts (MSA/NDA, SOW) to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of contractual guidelines, ensuring clearly defined and documented processes aligned with organizational standards.
  • Ensure audit readiness for processes within _Biopharma and Provider Solutions_ for both internal and external audits. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain reliable audit trails.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in supporting the business with document requirements, DocuSign, and Apttus management.
  • Create training materials and update SOPs to aid the department and the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth process integration, promoting effective communication and understanding among different teams within _Biopharma and Provider Solutions_.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities involving complex issues with tight deadlines and high accuracy requirements.
  • Keep abreast of industry regulations and compliance standards, ensuring alignment of _Biopharma and Provider Solutions_ processes with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Director Process Excellence and the Senior Contracts Specialist with relevant special projects. Develop project plans and provide progress updates.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 3 years of direct experience in contract management, preferably within the Healthcare sector.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience as a Paralegal/Law clerk preferred.
