At Evergreen College Markham campus, students can get career services that will help them get the job they've always wanted, with interview technique workshops, networking tips, leads on employment and so much more We are now seeking a full-time PERSONAL SUPPORT WORKER Diploma Program INSTRUCTOR to join our team.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Teach Personal Support Worker Program in accordance with the course syllabus and materials
  • Continuously develop, update and prepare teaching materials and outlines for the courses and such work should be conducted outside of the regular teaching hours
  • Prepare, administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress
  • Advise students on program curricula and career decisions
  • Actively help students find placement opportunities
  • Provide individualized tutorial or remedial instruction to students who require it
  • Supervise independent or group projects, field placements or handson training
  • Attending staff meetings as required
  • Keeping accurate records of students' attendance, progress and performance
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Education

QUALIFICATIONS
-
College diploma or University degree with 2 years of recent Personal Support work experience, and 3 years of teaching experience as a Personal Support worker in-class instructor are necessary requirements
:


  • Client focus, Excellent oral communication, Team player, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility
  • Ability to prepare reports, operate audiovisual equipment
  • Proficiency in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint

Able to teach flexible hours, including evenings and one weekend per

Actively support student placement, and act as clinical supervisor in placement setting:

Familiar with NACC standards and practices

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary:

$23.00-$30.00 per hour
