Description
Effective asset management is an integral piece of Brandt's continued growth. Managing assets to meet Brandt sales goals, and financial control metrics will be key to future success.

The Wholegoods Inventory Manager is charged with the overall responsibility of wholegood assets for Brandt's Truck and Trailer industry and is responsible for working with Brandt Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to plan the right products at the right time.


Reporting to the Director of Wholegoods Inventory, the Wholegoods Inventory Manager leads order planning activity, inventory allocation, inventory data maintenance, and all inventory auditing activities for the heavy truck and trailer industry.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Maintain relations with key vendors such as Peterbilt and Brandt Manufacturing.
  • Provide leadership and management to drive continuous improvement in product planning, order management, stocking levels, and distribution process.
  • Lead the tracking and analysis of asset configurations, sales history, and trends.
  • Accountable for stocking logic management of all dealerships, and Corporate Pool locations.
  • Responsible for strategic implementation and inventory management of all future locations.
  • Working with vendors to understand order lead times, future constraints, or products changes.
  • Implement supply chain solutions to provide the most efficient service to dealership locations, while helping to control costs.
  • Provide guidance and broad communication to sales leadership and operations teams.
  • Work close with Logistics teams to assist in PDI scheduling.
  • Provide training and guidance to the team and ensure they have the necessary product knowledge to effectively manage the inventory within their area of responsibility.
  • Manage order entry and inventory creation processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Required Experience

  • Must be an analytical thinker and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience within the heavy equipment or trucking industry, inventory management, or supplychain is preferred.
  • 35 years of relevant asset management experience and/or postsecondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Analytics, or similar discipline would be considered an asset.
