The Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician is a critical member of the Quality Team and is responsible for performing quality checks, helping maintain audit certifications, maintaining a hold and release program and many other aspects of the Quality and Food Safety program.
Willingness to wear multiple hats and be a team player in a fast-paced startup environment. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing HACCP, SOP and QA programs, procedures, and document control program
- Perform inspections, and monitoring of incoming raw materials/packaging for specification compliance.
- Assist with second
- Perform monthly ATP swabs and yearly thirdparty environmental swabs.
- Maintain a "floor presence" as an auditor of quality throughout the processing facility.
- Maintain Hold and release program.
- Perform and assist with traceability exercise.
- Participate in customer complaints.
- Maintain Supplier Approval program.
- Manage pest control program.
- Perform GMP audits on personnel and premises and report NCs to the supervisor.
- Train employees on quality policies and programs.
- Perform periodic finished good audit for specification compliance.
- Perform onsite verification on OPRP and CCP.
- Maintain and verify the auditable records.
- Participate in trials.
- Assist in developing the specification sheets.
- Issue supplier CARs.
- Maintain COA record for primary raw material.
- Assist in equipment calibration program.
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of all data.
- Lead by example; maintain a safe, secure, enjoyable professional working environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and organizational skills.
- 1+ years of Production experience.
- Attention to details and reporting activities.
- Selfmotivating with a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and problem solve.
Typical working conditions:
- Schedule may change depending on business requirements. Continental shifts, days, afternoon or nights may be required.
- Office and Manufacturing environment with continuous interaction on manufacturing floor where PPE is required.
Job Types:

Salary:
$20.00-$23.00 per hour
