Description

Birch Mountain Enterprises is looking to hire experienced Class 3 Water and Vac truck Operator for a temporary 6 month contract.

Must be TDG knowledgeable, with a minimum of 3 years manual transmission experience and previous Fluid hauling experience.

Job Summary:


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Operate Water and Vac Truck in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather.
  • Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections.
  • Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Supervision.
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image.
  • Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that all training is kept current.
  • Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
  • Seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide customerfocused services in all activities.
  • Be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Possess a valid Class 3 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
  • Minimum 3 years experience including up to 18 speed manual class 3 equipment.
  • Previous or related experience operating Water, Vacuum, Hydro or Combo Vac units.
  • Previous experience building ice roads an asset.
  • Mine drive experience is an asset.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive considered an asset.
  • Certification in Confined Space and Fall Protection.
  • Certification in H2S Alive or H2S Awareness.
  • First Aid certified.
  • Must successfully pass BME driver's evaluation, D&A and fit for duty preemployment screening.
