Birch Mountain Enterprises is looking to hire experienced Class 3 Water and Vac truck Operator for a temporary 6 month contract.

Must be TDG knowledgeable, with a minimum of 3 years manual transmission experience and previous Fluid hauling experience.

Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate Water and Vac Truck in a safe and efficient manner.
Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather.
Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections.
Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Supervision.
Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image.
Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards and procedures.
Ensure that all training is kept current.
Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
Seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
Provide customerfocused services in all activities.
Be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Possess a valid Class 3 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
Minimum 3 years experience including up to 18 speed manual class 3 equipment.
Previous or related experience operating Water, Vacuum, Hydro or Combo Vac units.
Previous experience building ice roads an asset.
Mine drive experience is an asset.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive considered an asset.
Certification in Confined Space and Fall Protection.
Certification in H2S Alive or H2S Awareness.
First Aid certified.
Must successfully pass BME driver's evaluation, D&A and fit for duty preemployment screening.
