Job description
a) Establishes strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behavior;
b) Deliver optimal levels of continuity between patient and service provider;
c) Demonstrate active listening and empathy to patients using effective communication skills;
d) Clinical chairside assisting with all dental procedures;
e) Ensuring that the dentist you are assisting has the necessary dental supplies on hand to perform dental procedures;
f) Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments in accordance with ministry of health and practice protocols;
g) Cleaning and preparing treatment rooms in accordance with ministry of health and practice protocols;
h) Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary;
i) Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records;
j) Provide post-operative care instructions;
k) Schedule patient next appointments;
l) Understanding and adhering to Radiographic Quality Assurance Controls, Infection Control, WHMIS and all other applicable laws and regulations to provide a safe environment for patients and staff;
m) Ensuring all clinical and storage areas are clean and organized;
q) Caring for dental equipment;
r) Lab cases (out-going and in-coming).


Salary:
$24.00-$28.00 per hour

Experience:

Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:
