Casual Residential Youth Justice Workers - Kingston, Canada - St Lawrence Youth Association
Description
To assist youth in conflict with the law, 12 to 17 years of age, in a secure custody facility.
University degree preferred and/or community college diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in psychology, criminology, social work, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience working with high-risk youth.
- Criminal reference check declared suitable for vulnerable sector employment,
- Uptodate Immunization status according to national standards, _including proof of prior Twostep TB testing. _
- Current First Aid / CPR-C certificate,
- Valid class G driver's license with an offensefree driving record
- Bilingualism and volunteer experience are assets.
Applicants for a Casual Residential Youth Justice Worker must be available to attend a
mandatory training period (anticipated start June, fully paid days, exact dates TBA)
and be able to work a shift schedule consisting of immediate call-in and predetermined shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Wage:
$22.39 per hour plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
