Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.


Position Overview:


Under the supervision of the Manager, the Porter Aide transports patients to and from the Diagnostic Imaging Department as directed and in accordance with standardized procedures.

The Porter Aide maintains the supply of materials and department supplies, as ensures dressing rooms are kept tidy.


Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies and procedures and applicable legislation.


Experience:


  • Six (6) months previous experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):


  • Grade 12 education (MB Standards)

Certification/Licensure/Registration:


  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training as delineated in Prairie Mountain Health Policy PPG00002 CPR Training

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to display independent judgment
