Department Overview

  • The Tax and Regulatory Reporting team within the Wealth Business Architecture is responsible for creating and executing on the endtoend vision for the tax reporting capability. The Tax and Regulatory Reporting team develops and executes on the Tax Capability Roadmap, working with partners across Wealth to deliver on transformational solutions by providing a legendary client, partner, and operational experience, and ensuring that our regulatory requirements are met while reducing our ongoing cost and risk exposure.

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager in the Tax and Regulatory Reporting team, this role is responsible for leading the business requirement work stream for Tax Reporting for our clients across Wealth businesses and other TD channels.
  • As a Business Analysis Specialist / Product Owner, they will own the requirements Management / work packages for the Tax POD
  • Knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project life cycle
  • Works independently as the senior or lead business analyst and coaches and guides members within area of expertise
  • Identifies and leads problem resolution for complex issues at all levels; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues / points of interest
  • Support team development, track team performance metrics, and provide ongoing coaching and support
  • Provide thought leadership and / or industry knowledge for area of expertise in product area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business area / journey
  • Keep others informed and up to date about the status / progress of delivery and / or all relevant or useful information related to daytoday activities
  • Contributes to the communication and change management activities across multiple stakeholders
  • Collaborates with technology partners and provides recommendations to support development of system requirements and design, testing plans, artifacts/deliverables to ensure business needs are met
  • Applies a variety of elicitation techniques to probe, challenge and understand requirements

Job Requirements

  • University or college degree is an asset
  • Business Analysis accreditation is an asset or willingness to enroll upon taking on role
  • 810 years professional experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodology preferred
  • Working experience in Tax Reporting area, preferable but not mandatory

Additional Information

  • Advanced level knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project life cycle
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to interact with all levels in a constructive manner
  • Good judgment, understanding of what issues to escalate, what to resolve on your own, make suggestions for possible resolution
  • Advanced Communication skills including superior facilitation, presentation, and negotiating skills
