Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator is responsible for providing a variety of HR services to all departments.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead fullcycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions
  • Provide HR services to department supervisors and employees, including coaching and training
  • Coordinate and conduct onboarding / orientation activities
  • Plan and execute employee programs to support our culture (e.g. Surveys, Feedback Meetings, Training, Performance Appraisals, etc.)
  • Create/maintain documents, files, and databases (e.g. employment offers/agreements, job descriptions, training matrix, employee handbook, organization charts, HR forms)
  • Research HRrelated policies, best practices, trends and legislation as needed
  • Provide HR data/information for management reporting and decisionmaking
  • Backup support for the HR/Payroll Specialist

Skills and Knowledge:


  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an HR Generalist/ Recruiter
  • Graduate of postsecondary HR program or advanced experience
  • Payroll experience would be considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, methods and legislation
  • Intermediate English (verbal and written)
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly professional and confidential
