Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Dock Coordinator to join the team in our Guelph, ON manufacturing and distribution facility.


Pay Rate:
$29.97 / Hour

$1.25/hr night shift premium

Major Responsibilities:


  • Functional responsibility for all for forklift drivers on shift
  • Able to support /train on Picking, Receiving, and Boot camp Checklists.
  • Resolve workload issues during shift; escalate problems to the Warehouse Resource and Customer Support as they occur.
  • Seek immediate resolutions to issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Leads shift SHO & forklift debrief meeting if required.
  • Ensures safe performance of assigned tasks as well as process compliance of material handlers.
  • Assists the Resource in ensuring effective communication to operators of company policies/priorities.
  • Assists the Planning and Customer Service Teams
  • Enforce and Monitor compliance adherence, loading patterns, product flow, handle pick tickets, BOL's, receive returns, and prepare and distribute shipment documentation.
  • Prepare loads for destruction.
  • Trailer shunting support required.
  • Manage the dock planning & utilization including planning & coordinating line loading activity, assign trailer loading to material handlers, and ensure timely departure to meet customer delivery appointments.
  • Prepare and send US outbound Border Documents
  • Control gate entry/exit while maintaining yard security, and interfacing with drivers.
  • Monitor the trailer pool (yard check)
  • Operate a forklift when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent. Postsecondary education is preferred.
  • Certified forklift driver
  • Past demonstrated leadership aptitude and a desire to contribute and make a difference.
  • Demonstrated communication skills that show your ability to gain cooperation and understanding from warehousing personnel as well as internal and external customers to the shipping department.
  • Demonstrated ability to support the above verbal communications requirements with effective written communications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (can create, retrieve, and input into systems). Proficiency in data entry, SAP, and Globe.
  • Knowledge of dock functions an asset.
  • Shunting experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Palletizer and Shipping procedures
  • Demonstrated multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • This role is on our standard Continental Shift rotation schedule. Ability to work overtime hours.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of team KPI's
