    What is the opportunity?

    The Open Banking + APIs team is seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and innovative Sr. Product Owner to drive the development of the Digital APIs and Open Banking product strategy.

    In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the Digital API and Open Banking product strategies & roadmaps, while also identifying emerging opportunities and trends to support the development of innovative solutions, services, and functionality.

    You will represent the Digital business and work closely with internal business partners and third party/industry participants & stakeholders to understand the overall client experience and business needs to develop a robust product strategy and continuous product delivery roadmap. You will deliver clear requirements to Designers and Engineers who will bring the vision to life.

    In summary, you'll help drive the day-to-day product development schedule from design through to release, own the product life-cycle, and define and monitor metrics that measure the success of the product.

    What will you do?

    • Define vision and product strategies while ensuring clients are at the centre of the experience.
    • Develop and implement an API product strategy to enable business partner strategies and deliver a measurable impact via increased revenue, client satisfaction, and reduced cost to serve.
    • Work with internal teams and industry to build an Open Banking product design and application strategy to provide a secure user experience for financial data-sharing, while maintaining RBC market leadership.
    • Communicate effectively the vision and strategy, taking into consideration different stakeholders
    • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders from concept through to shipping
    • Work with designers, management, internal business partners, delivery manager, engineers and other subject matter experts
    • Participate in the full lifecycle of product development; including ideation, design, development, implementation and validation
    • Define the KPIs to measure the success of the product

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must have :

    • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business
    • 3 years of experience as a product owner/manager
    • Strong analytical skill set
    • Understand and fluent usage across a broad spectrum of technologies including APIs, Security, and Data.
    • Strong creative and conceptual thinker as well as, strong attention to detail and organization skills
    • Passionate focus on the customer and unwavering commitment to quality
    • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses

    Nice-to-have:

    • Experience in an Agile matrix (cross functional) environment
    • Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
    • Ability to build culture and trust quickly
