    What We Are Looking For:

    Aird & Berlis LLP is looking for a Real Estate Conveyancer who is excited to learn all aspects of real estate conveyancing. Learning from our very own experienced team, the successful candidate will gain valuable knowledge in title searching and resolving issues on title. We are open to recent graduates and/or someone with some knowledge of real estate law. The successful candidate will be energetic, posses a curious mindset and demonstrate excellent attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

    Responsibilities:

  • Title searching in both the Registry and Land Titles system for commercial, residential and condominium properties
  • Identifying and resolving title defects
  • Meet critical timelines of projects
  • Review surveys
  • Prepare title summaries
  • Draft legal descriptions
  • Prepare and register documents
  • Prepare Land Title Applications
  • Accountable for all work assigned
  • Takes initiative

  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience with Real Estate is considered an asset with an interest in Conveyancing
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program or related education
  • Keen to learn the Land Titles Act, Registry Act, Land Registration Reform Act and the Planning Act
  • Knowledge of Title related matters and reading title searches an asset
  • Proficient with Teraview and OnLand
  • Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands
  • Skills:
