BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
_ What does the position entail?_
- Assist in the implementation of marketing strategies that promote the company's services and increase brand awareness.
- Work closely with the sales team in projecting, tracking and reporting revenue targets.
- Assist in organization, management and preparation for trade show activities, including registration, travel arrangements, and booth shipment.
- Create, manage and update templates for trip reports, marketing summaries.
- Maintains and updates marketing resumes for technical and executive staff.
- Maintains and updates the marketing library.
- Tracking and reporting of all marketing expenses.
- Create and track pipeline of opportunities.
- Create innovative ideas for branding/marketing.
- Assist in the collection and review of tender opportunities.
- Assists in preparation, editing, and final assembly of proposals, marketing documents, and events.
- Assembles and edits PowerPoint presentations as directed by the Senior Business Development Manager
- Provides editing support for technical papers.
- Revises document drafts, verifying nontechnical content and ensuring correct grammar and message flow.
- Potentially represent the company at industry events and conferences, and participate in networking opportunities.
- Supports other administrative activities as needed.
- Support Vard Marine staff in special projects and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
_ What you will need to be successful?_
- Bachelor's degree in administration, business, marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business administration. Experience in business development, marketing, or sales is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong MS Powerpoint, Excel and Word skills are essential.
- Experience of working with a CRM as advantage (Hubspot preferred) but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to travel and work from different locations as required.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of job location.
- Eligible to obtain security clearance.
