Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of drafters, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Implement and maintain drafting standards and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency within the team.
Stay updated on industry trends, new software, and technological advancements related to drafting and design.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to streamline workflows.
Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations in all drafting work.
Oversee the utilization of computeraided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to create and modify drawings.
Review completed drafts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements before finalization.
Coordinate with project managers to provide updates on drafting progress, potential issues, and resource needs.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve design conflicts and recommend solutions.
Ensure that projects are completed within established budgets and timelines.
Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions to communicate draftingrelated information effectively.
Review and interpret design specifications, sketches, and notes to create detailed and accurate technical drawings and plans.
Prepare complex BIM/3D models

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited institute program in Electrical Technology or Technician with OACETT Certification
10+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in consulting and/or Energy industry
Must be proficient with AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microstation is considered an asset
Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Primtech, Substation 3D, Revit or other 3D modelling software
Welldeveloped communication skills, both verbal and written.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse group of professionals.
Experience in the renewable, transmission and distribution field is considered a major asset
Computer knowledge in MS Office Suite
Ability to work in a team environment
Welldeveloped communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
Effective problemsolving skills.
Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.
