As an Assistant Project Manager in the Water / Wastewater Civil Operations Team team at Pomerleau Construction, you will manage large-scale municipal and infrastructure projects - ranging from $25 million to upwards of $250 million - while working closely with our client groups and subcontractors and acting as an integral part of our projects team.
What you will do
- Assist and guide the project team with coordination and project support.
- Take pride in your ability to effectively review, interpret and update the construction schedules.
- Utilize your passion for organization through maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI's, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
- Effectively collect, review and analyze project quotes with emphasis on obtaining the very best prices in the market.
- Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project. Effectively apply the requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau's HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project.
- Support in the maintenance and building of positive relationships with subtrades, clients and project stakeholders.
This role could be for you if you have
- Roughly 8+ years' experience in the Water & Wastewater industry .
- A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, building codes and associated legislation.
- A proven track record for project leadership and team collaboration.
- A passion for building and nurturing exceptional stakeholder relationships.
