is actively seeking an experienced
Registered Massage Therapist, interested in joining the
Halifax Campus team to be a
Massage Therapy Clinic Supervisor.

Primary Responsibility:

The Clinical Supervisor provides instruction, guidance and mentoring to students as they move from the textbook to the hands-on practical clinic setting.

In addition, the Clinic Supervisor manages the daily operations of the massage therapy clinic.

The Massage Therapy Instructor will support the vision, mission, and values of Eastern College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity, and fostering inclusion.

Qualifications:

Registered as a Massage Therapist in Good Standing with the provincial regulatory body (ex. College of Massage Therapists Association of Halifax (MTANS).
5 years experience in the field, or 2 years experience with proof of Diploma/ Degree in the field.
Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience as a Registered Massage Therapist.
Adult education and teaching experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and use of the Internet.
Understanding of Adult Learning Principles is preferred.

Hours of Work:

This is a part-time on-going position. Hours of work will be 4:30pm-8:30pm, Tuesday and Thursdays and weekends (various hours) for Outreach activities.

The scheduled start for this opportunity is immediate.
