WinSport is seeking an energetic, and passionate individual for the position of Inclusion Facilitator, Sport.

As an Inclusion Facilitator, Sport, your primary role is to provide mentorship, skill-building, and facilitate inclusion for youth across a diverse portfolio of sport programming.

Within this role you will utilize leadership skills to supervise and assist participants who require additional support in a program setting.

Above all else you should ensure participants have fun spending time outdoors moving.

What you will be doing:


_ Program Execution_

  • Adhere to program policies and procedures, manage, and escalate through the correct channels if required.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and exceptional experience of participants. Plan, lead, and modify programs daily, operating independently as a group leader and collaboratively with others to make necessary accommodations for youth requiring support.

_Safety_

  • Monitor participant behavior and work collaboratively with participants providing strategies to minimize conflict and mitigate safety concerns.
  • Conduct daily equipment and facility safety assessments ensuring it meets the required standards and are suitable for use. Provide ongoing safety education to team members with techniques they can implement in response programming incidents.

_Communication_

  • Communicate in ways that empower participants and team members when providing feedback, motivating others, and goal setting.
  • Communicate professionally with parents/guardians and caregivers.
  • Vary communications styles to best fit the audience.

_Other Duties as Required_

What you bring:


  • Current First Aid and CPR C is required.
  • Currently have or working towards an education in child and youth development, recreation, education, community development, or related field of study is required.
  • Minimum 23 years' experience in a coaching/instructional setting, or equivalent experience in a relevant educational setting.

You will be:


  • Able to run, walk, ride and jump for long periods of time.
  • Able to work outside for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
  • Required to work inperson.
  • Frequently expected to lift, carry, throw, push, or pull objects (sporting equipment).

Employment Details

  • Seasonal position beginning in June
  • Must attend team member training (Monday 24th June
  • Friday 28th June)
  • Must be available for 8 out of 10 weeks during the operational calendar June 24th
  • August 30th.
  • Availability for scheduled shifts between 08:00am 05:00pm Monday
  • Friday.
