As our Category Manager, you will be required to undertake a variety of administrative and operational tasks in managing our product category.
To excel in this role, you must be organized, detail-oriented and comfortable working with diverse teams and building relations with multiple stakeholders.
What will you do:
- Monitor supply chain and manage appropriate level of inventory
- Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
- Collect and analyze data on product variety and determine industry and consumer trends such as popular products, insurance applicability and consumer demographics in the product category
- Devise longterm development strategies for product categories
- Conduct research on prices from competitors in the industry and escalate
- Monitor laws, regulations and policies related to the product category and manage changes
- Manage the costs and payments of products, shipping and contractbased compensations
- Plan, execute and control risk management activities
- Ensure smooth execution of processes and provide recommendations on improvements
- Monitor call center performance in selling, saving, and other presale and post sales services for the product category and provide specific training
- Monitor issues and help maintain positive relationships with business partners and other stakeholders
- Coordinate with the Marketing department on marketing activities for the product category
- Assist with the development of cyberthreats and data breach prevention and reaction plans
- Assist with expanding supplier network and maintaining relationships with the suppliers
In order to be successful, you bring:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
- Proven experience as category manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of category management and sales principles
- Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data
- An understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends
- Strong people management and persuasion skills to manage and influence at all levels of the company
- An analytical mind with strategic ability
