As one of Canada's largest acute-care teaching hospitals, LHSC is a world-class innovator in clinical care, research and teaching, delivering both local and regional services, including the Children's Hospital, within a large geographic area.

LHSC has a workforce of close to 15,000, dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care while working together to shape the future of health.

Health Information Management (HIM) manages the collection, storage, maintenance, retention of and access to patient health records. The HIM department ensures each health record is complete and accurate for ongoing patient care.

HIM also codes patient visit information for submission to CIHI, MoHLTC, Stats Canada, The World Health Organization and other jurisdictional and national agencies.
