Highland Country Club is looking to fill the position of Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide a consistently exceptional experience for all members.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering
  • Offer members knowledgeable, personalized service.
  • Planning, training, supervising dining/banquet room staff.
  • Supervise the physical appearance of the dining room/pub/banquet lounge area and work stations and implement cleaning schedules
  • Supervise the appearance of dining room tables, including table linens, napkins, silverware, table setup, centerpieces, menus and closing duties for staff.
  • Schedule work assignments for all dining room staff assigning specific tasks and spot checking to ensure standards are met
  • Assist staff on the floor when needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:


  • Ability to be accurate, concise, detail oriented and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with members and staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Effective time management skills to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Is well groomed and polite at all times.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a food and beverage role, with 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of fine dining service procedures and functions.
  • Smart Serve certified, required.
Must have own transportation and be eligible to legally work in Canada.

$20.00-$25.00 per hour
