We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ICU Department and contribute to our mission of serving our community with Kindness, Passion, Courage, and Teamwork.
      Position Responsibilities:
    • The successful candidate will fulfill the duties of a Registered Nurse in the ICU Department.
    • The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing general and specialized nursing tasks on a daily basis in line with the Nursing Practice standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario and the approved care standards of the Corporation.
    The commitment for a regular part-time Level 2 Nurse includes:
    • Availability for fifty-two (52) weeks per year excluding vacation time.
    • A minimum of 33.75 hours per month, including 1 weekend, can be pre-scheduled.
    • Availability to work during either the Christmas or New Year's period.
    • A minimum of 45 hours per month from June to September with at least 1 weekend per month must be pre-scheduled.
    • Submission of additional availability as per the Hospital's guidelines.
    Qualifications:
    • Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
    • Coronary Care Level 1 (mandatory), Level 2 (preferred).
    • Current BCLS certification.
    • ACLS Certification or completion within 3 months.
    • Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance.
    • Experience in a critical care environment (preferred).
    • Completion of Critical Care Certificate (preferred) or commitment to enroll and complete within 6 months.
    • Experience with mechanical ventilation (preferred).
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize care amidst unexpected changes in patient acuity.
    • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills.
    • Acceptable performance and attendance records.
    Hiring Salary Range: $56.00
