Pharmacy Assistant:


We are looking for an experienced, friendly, enthusiastic person(s) with excellent customer service and great interpersonal skills to join our pharmacy team.


Responsibilities:


  • Welcome patients in a professional and considerate manner.
  • Accuracy with prescription entry, filling and pickup.
  • Respond to pharmacy telephone calls.
  • Book appointments for injections
  • Receive and send daily stock orders using various wholesalers
  • Blister packaging
  • Shared cash till responsibilities.
  • Charging and receiving monies onto pharmacy accounts
  • Assist in opening and closing the pharmacy including daily cash reconciliation
  • Compliance with PHIA and all other pharmacy regulations
  • Promote pharmacy services
  • Regularly read and view communication Binder
  • Ensure proficiency with Pharmacy Systems
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bilaws
  • Comply with all policies and procedures
Applicant Requirements

  • Pharmacy technician diploma or equivalent experience in retail pharmacy (mandatory)
  • Pharmacy experience with a minimum of 2 years
  • Experience with Kroll an asset
  • Passion for the profession of pharmacy, patient care and customer service
  • Provide support and assistance to the Pharmacist(s)
  • Maintain professional image (dress code) and conduct at all times

Experience:

- pharmacy assistant: Over 2 years experience required

  • Bubble packaging experience an asset

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evenings
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear medical wear masks provided during their shifts.
