Introduction
WJ Groundwater is the leading construction dewatering and groundwater specialist in
the UK with operations in Canada, the Middle East, Poland & the Philippines. We have
specialized plant and equipment that allows us to install custom dewatering and water
treatment systems in various environments including from within tunnels and shafts
and from the surface.
WJ Groundwater strives to meet client expectations for water treatment system
performance and execute projects on time and on budget. Your principle function as
Water Treatment Project Manager is to assist with the design of water treatment
systems and act as team leader and the main point of contact for our clients across
numerous construction projects.
Key Role Objectives
This role has two key objectives:
- Assist in the design of and facilitate the development of water treatment
- Provide clear and focused leadership on all project functions related to project
construction management to meet the Client's overall goals.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Manage water treatment projects that involve multidisciplinary engineering
mechanical, I&C, electrical, etc.
- Support water process design activities, including equipment sizing and
infrastructure.
- Provide detailed calculations for water processes.
- Manage the planning and scheduling of project deliverables and the
- Develop an execution plan that allows work to be completed in logical
communication, and manages the introduction of design changes.
- Proactively resolve performance, scope, cost, and schedule issues.
- Supervise site activities and closely liaise with our clients, site staff, supervisors,

- Perform project management and dissemination responsibilities, including

Qualifications & Experience
A motivated and hardworking individual with good written and communication skills is
essential. Minimum 3 years' experience within the construction industry managing
projects and site staff in a similar environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (ex. chemical, civil,
to water treatment, reservoirs and pumping stations).
- A minimum of 3 years of processing design, project management and/or

- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required for travel between
- Proficiency in common desktop packages (i.e. Microsoft suites, AutoCAD).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, problemsolving, and analytical skills.
