Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and install wooden structures according to specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors
- Repair and restore damaged structures
- Collaborate with other construction professionals
- Follow blueprints, building codes, and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Familiarity with woodworking materials and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings an asset
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Excellent problemsolving skills
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
Skills:
- Carpentry: Proficiency in all aspects of carpentry work including framing
- Hand tools: Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools used in carpentry work.
- Concrete forming: Experience in creating forms for pouring concrete foundations or structures.
- Plumb: Ability to ensure that structures are level and properly aligned.
Salary:
$25.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
