Schedule:14 days of work followed by 14 days off

Location:
Renard Mine

Stornoway is recruiting for an Surface Services Equipment Operator for the Renard Mine Department. Reporting to the Surface Operations Supervisor, the Surface Services Equipment Operator is responsible for the following activities.

Responsibilities:

Properly check and maintain surface department equipment;
Safely operate equipment;
Ensure the safe and efficient completion of job related activities;
Work closely with supervision, operators and team members;
Securing the work area;
Participate actively in planning, health and safety and training meetings;
Participate actively in planning, health and safety and training meetings;
Complete daily and other reports properly;
Respect laws, regulations and work procedures;
Perform all other related duties.

Qualifications:

DEP in heavy equipment operation or other relevant diploma and/or experience in equipment operation;
Hold a valid class 1 driver's license.
Hold a valid general explosives permit;
Autonomy, resourcefulness and ability to work in a team;
Exemplary attitude towards health and safety in the workplace;
Proactive, efficient and versatile;
Ability to communicate by radio in French and/or English;
