Quality Assurance Inspector" for one of its clients in
Toronto, ON, Canada

Job Purpose:


The QA Inspector is responsible for examining in-process castings, and equipment to ensure that castings produced conforms to acceptance criterion defined and quality standards applicable.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with production operators to inspect tooling, cores, molds, and castings throughout various stages of production, ensuring strict adherence to quality requirements outlined in job tickets.
  • Conduct audits of subcontracted operations to guarantee compliance with job ticket specifications, meticulously verifying all documentation and records to maintain workflow integrity.
  • Document and collect data on any nonconforming parts, ensuring thorough records are maintained for analysis and improvement purposes.
  • Utilize and calibrate measuring instruments to verify accuracy and suitability for use, contributing to precise quality assessments.
  • Support the castings inspection process, promptly notifying supervisors or engineering of any production issues in alignment with department directives.
  • Authorize shipments only after thorough verification of all records as per job tickets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Uphold strict adherence to Safety Rules and Regulations at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the team and workplace.
  • Actively participate in daily departmental meetings and discussions, contributing insights and ideas for process improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer data with utmost discretion.

Safety Equipment Requirement:

Education and Skills Requirement:


  • Minimum
    5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in foundry operations.
  • Ability to
    interpret instructions and read blueprints accurately.
  • Capacity to lift up to 46lbs safely, ensuring compliance with workplace safety protocols.
  • Willingness to obtain certification as an Overhead Crane Operator, with training provided.
  • Thrive in a fastpaced environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in meeting production demands.
  • Strong coordination and manual dexterity skills, coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English language (oral, written, and reading), with clear and concise communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage heavy workloads, effectively handling interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • Endurance to
    stand for extended periods, contributing to operational efficiency.

Pay:
$23.00-$27.00 per hour
