    Camp Counsellors and Activity Staff

    is looking for cabin counsellors and activity staff to join our team for summer 2024

    Dates of Employment
    Start Date: June 29, 2024
    *Potential opportunity to begin earlier
    End Date: August 17, 2024
    Location: Temagami, ON

    Responsibilities include , but are not limited to:

  • Direct supervision of a cabin group of campers, assuming responsibility for their safety, physical and emotional needs, progress through the program, attitudes & group cohesion.
  • Assist in the teaching of activities and running of programs.
  • Willingness to learn and assist with those activities not fully known to you.
  • Liaison with Senior Staff regarding camper or program issues.
  • Assist in the evaluation of Counsellors in Training.
  • Attend meetings to discuss/evaluate program and camper issues.
  • Assume cooperative responsibilities for various group programs.
  • Be actively involved in daily camp life and the lives of the campers.
  • Be a positive Role Model to both staff and campers.
  • Necessary Qualifications

  • Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross or higher (National Lifeguard (NL) preferred)
  • Standard First Aid with CPR C&AED
  • Good at working in a group/team environment.
  • Experience working with kids is preferable.

    Camp Wabikon is an International, co-ed, overnight summer camp for youth ages 6-17. Located on the southern tip or Temagami Island in Temagami Ontario, Camp Wabikon has been respected as one of Ontario's leading summer camp opportunities for youth since 1944. With approximately 150 campers and 50 Staff, Wabikon families are assured of their children's security and comfort in a fun, professional, caring, and well-managed environment.
