Position Summary


The Granite Club is looking to hire a Food & Beverage Supervisor position who will provide a comprehensive schedule to individuals with an interest in pursuing a managerial career role in the Food & Beverage industry.

This role will be primarily based in the Intersections Food & Beverage outlet but is not limited to assisting in other locations as per management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be present and visible on the floor during service to supervise staff and ensure Member satisfaction standards are consistently attained.
  • Ensure the completeness of the uniforms and grooming appearance of Intersections staff are up to standard.
  • Be well versed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement to comply with agreedupon policies and procedures.
  • Accurate recording and submission of timesheets are completed daily.
  • Ensuring that Member's food and beverage purchases are accurately and efficiently processed through the POS system in a fast and friendly manner.
  • Responsible for monitoring the President's Lounge coffee station, keeping it operational as well as cleaned and well organized.
  • Conduct staff service briefings.
  • Check food and beverage items for expiration dates and ensures that FIFO is being utilized at all times.
  • Monitor the food and beverage display cases and replenish as necessary.
  • Report all equipment and maintenance issues to the Outlets Manager.
  • Promote teamwork and open communication.
  • Assist Managers with the overall departmental goals.
  • Record and adjust inventories associated with intersections.
  • Able to assist with service and/or use POS during high volumes of business.
  • Assist with expediting and coordinate food timings between kitchen and FOH service staff.
  • Address and report all feedback, positive and negative, from Members and Staff, as it arises.
  • Ability to carry out all opening and closing duties each Food and Beverage department is responsible for.
  • Actively assist in developing and executing goals and directives from upper management with confidentiality.
  • Thoroughly inspect all event and/or dining rooms are to standard, BEO specification, and cleanliness.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2year Diploma in Hotel or Restaurant Management.
  • Previous Quick Service Food experience is beneficial.
  • Experience managing a unionized staff is beneficial but not required.
  • Able to make quick and correct decisions while working under pressure in a changing environment.
  • Detailedoriented and able to multitask.
  • Selfmotivated and teamoriented; take the lead where required.
  • Be able to work all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Good working knowledge of computers, MS Office programs, and the NorthStar Club system.
  • Smart Serve certification is required.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
