The Opportunity

What You'll Do
As a highly experienced Business Analyst at Derivative Path, you will:

  • Lead the planning, refinement, and implementation of the technical backlog items supporting the organization's diverse business lines.
  • Seamlessly align technologydriven initiatives to organizational and product goals, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Dive deep into resource allocation and projected delivery timelines, all while keeping a keen eye on specified milestones. Shape our product's future by defining priorities and crafting the annual technical roadmap, while keeping our internal stakeholders in the loop.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners and Development Team Leads to define user requirements, system dependencies and performance expectations.
  • Craft compelling user stories and refine them to perfection, providing clear acceptance criteria and ensuring validation of results.
  • Be the driving force behind our agile ceremonies, leading the scrum team through refinement, planning, sprint reviews, dailies, and retrospectives.
  • Showcase our progress through engaging sprint demos for adjacent teams and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned and excited about our achievements.
  • Break down barriers and facilitate seamless communication across teams, addressing decisions, dependencies, risks, and roadblocks headon to drive us toward resolution.
  • Take charge of test plans, monitor production releases, and coordinate postproduction testing with finesse, managing any issues or hotfixes that arise.
  • Dive into the data and track key scrum team metrics, providing insights that drive continuous improvement in our processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree or post graduate degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
  • Excellent communications skills you're a master of written, verbal, and presentation communication.
  • A proven track record in product development lifecycle management and navigating the agile development process.
  • At least 3 years in financial technology SaaS product development.
  • A datadriven mindset coupled with strong reporting skills you know how to turn numbers into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of delivery networks for financial products and services, especially within the context of newgen technologies.
  • Proficiency in agile framework and project management tools, with a preference for Atlassian Jira.
