Empty headingFollowing two promotions within our reservations department, Hotel Grand Pacific is seeking a hospitality enthusiast to join us on a temporary contract and provide excellent service to prospective and repeat guests.

A proud member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts collection, Hotel Grand Pacific is located on Victoria's beautiful inner harbour, on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen Peoples.

If you have sales or customer service experience within the hotel or tourism industry and are confident with computers, we encourage you to apply.

Hours will vary between morning and evening shifts.

Contract will run from May 1st until October 31st, with the possibility of extension depending on operational needs.

Duties:

Operate the switchboard and efficiently handle all incoming calls while following Hotel security protocols
Create guest reservations and ensure booking preferences are met
Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate using effective sales skills
Exceed guest expectations and minimize inconveniences through delivery of exceptional service

What We're Looking for:

1 year of experience in hotel reservations or sales within the tourism industry
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Typing speed of 50 wpm
Professional, friendly, and clear phone manner
Excellent written communication skills
Able to multitask and maintain constant concentration and attention to detail
Dependable team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic
Flexible to work any shifts as business levels dictate
Postsecondary training in Hospitality Management an asset but not required.
