Major Responsibilities

  • Reviews computer ship log, electronic log in a timely manner, for orders required to ship
  • Generates bills of lading for all material shipped from SMB
  • Ensures the correct material is loaded and performs the final load and quality audits on all material shipped form SMB
  • Creates shipping tags as per customer requirements
  • Ensures the material is identified correctly and inputs the material identity into the computerized system and hangs material inventory tag on the material identifying SMB tag number on inside diameter of coil
  • Verify that the daily receiving report matches inbound receipts
  • Updates and maintains Ship log inquiry and maintenance
  • Generates daily delivery performance report and updates master spreadsheet
  • Communicate with Production Supervisors and Material Handlers as required
  • Reconcile Production Vouchers when required
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Quality System Requirements (Authority & Responsibility)

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality systems
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
  • Verify the implementation of solutions
  • Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of jobrelated experience
  • Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 is preferred
  • This incumbent reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor and has no direct reports. This position is located at the Brantford facility_
