Primary Purpose:
What is the overall function of the job? Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company's products and/or related services.
Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers.Key Accountability/Responsibilities:
What specifically is this job expected to accomplish?- Develop and execute strategies to promote Bureau Veritas Canada services in the Oil & Gas Sector.
- Gather the "voice of the customer" and leverage personal experience to define sector requirements and unmet wants and to shape our value proposition and service offering to the customer.
- Manage significant account relationships and ensure consistent delivery of our service to meet customer expectations. This will include a list of specific clients for which this person will be solely responsible.
- Develop potential clients through active participation in new account identification and regular account reviews.
- Represent Bureau Veritas by being an ambassador of the brand at conferences, workshops, trade association meetings and other industry networking events.
- Staying current on Oil & Gas guidelines, best practices and regulations in Western Canada.
- Act as a key liaison between the client, the laboratory, and senior Bureau Veritas management.
- Actively participate in any proposal writing processes, including, in most cases, leading the process.
- Provide consultation, recommendations, and technical assistance to clients, with support from Scientific ServicesIdentify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
- Actively participate in all Sales meetings.
- Timely transfer of all related Sales activity into CRM system (Salesforce).
General Duties:
- Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team.
- Present a professional image at all times to customers, both internal and external.
- Present price and terms in accordance with standard procedures.
- Adhere to the Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations.
- Provide client feedback to the Bureau Veritas management. Other support duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
What skills and knowledge are required to carry out job responsibilities and solve problems?- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas sector/selling services.
- Minimum of 2 years postsecondary education in a related discipline to our industry (i.e. Sciences).
- Willingness to travel, primarily in Alberta, Canada.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problemsolving; ability to determine solutions for customers.
- Must be resultsorientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent timemanagement, multitasking and priority setting skills.
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Resultsdriven, actionoriented and energetic.
- Ethical, dynamic, energetic, motivated, "cando" attitude, flexible, good judgment.
- Valid driver's license.
