Job Title
Summer 2023 Student - Group Annuity, Operations Analyst (8 months)


Please note:

This posting is for an 8-month Student Summer 2023 placement with a start date of May 2023, and end-date of December 2023.

In order to be eligible for this 8-month Student position, you must either:


  • Be returning back to school after the work term enddate of December 2023; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in December 2023), you must require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

As a Group Annuity, Operations Analyst, you will provide support to RBC Insurance's Group Annuity Line of Business.

You will be part of a very inclusive team that works cohesively together, which is integral to the success of this exciting growing line of business that continues to evolve and is committed to providing the best in class client experience.

What will you do?

  • Work within a dynamic environment where you are encouraged to aid in process improvement and work with autonomy
  • Develop processes and procedures for annuity administration support
  • Maintain and develop internal relationships
  • Input and analyze group annuity data
  • Perform adhoc reporting for internal/external use as needed
  • Investigate instances of data integrity problems and initiate corrective actions.

Must-have:


  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Experience working on projects and comfort with ambiguity
  • Ability to grasp information quickly with a high attention to details
  • Strong communication, collaboration and organization skills
  • Strong grasp of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills
  • Comfort with remote collaboration tools, and virtual relationship building

Nice to Have:


  • In a Commerce, Computer Science, or Mathematics/Statistics stream of study
  • Pension knowledge/experience
