Location
Dawson Creek BC
Base Salary: $120130K
LOA: $250 per day
Travel: Expenses covered to travel to site
Shift Schedule 10 days On and 4 days Off

Responsibilities:

Anticipates project needs with sufficient leadtime.
Effectively manage project deliverables and issue plans to the client in accordance with the contract.
Participate in prejob meeting to identify action items, KPIs, management of project budget etc.
Develop project resources requirements plans and optimize companywide resource utilization.
Timely communication and correspondence with subcontractors and major suppliers.
Provides project leadership and effective management of all field personnel, maintaining a safety first attitude, and ensuring that all procedures and policies are being properly followed.
Monitors construction progress and provides regular updates and reports to Management, clients and other key stakeholders.
Regularly monitors and reviews project cost variances, providing feedback to project teams as appropriate.
Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project.
Develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule and take the necessary initiative to adjust plans and coordinate action with project team to complete projects on time and within budget.
Work with the project team to issue material purchase orders and confirm receipt of materials and return of equipment.
Capable of identifying constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions.
Understand and communicate the finance of any given job.
Ensure quick, efficient, and effective decision making related to field support.
Ability to Price and Manage change orders and extra work orders.
Perform and provide accurate material takeoffs, create traffic management plans, quality control plans, site safety plans, etc.
Mentor, coach and supervise site project team.
Oversee project close out and lead team debrief on project.

Requirements:

5+ years experience in a project management role overseeing selfperform civil construction projects.
Completion of a university degree in Civil Engineering field and current registration as a P. Eng (Asset)
PMP Designation (Asset).
Competent in managing multiple projects from preliminary stages to substantial completion. Including Civil Earthworks, Deep Utility Installation, Pipeline Clearing and Access Road/Highway Construction.
Ability to organize and direct budgets, control costs, and manage several complex projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of WorkSafe BC Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
Strong Microsoft Office abilities.

Safety Requirements:

Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract
Valid First Aid
CSTS 2020
Ability to Pass a Drug and Alcohol test
