We are looking for an Advisor Operations to join our Ottawa location.

The Advisor Operations engages in the day to day operations, and acts as a mentor by ensuring that all field staff are working according to company policies and procedures.

You will also provide technical expertise or specialized assistance when required.


What You Will Do- Prioritize, coordinate and supervise sophisticated work activities throughout all communities within Ottawa and the surrounding areas.- Coordinate field emergencies and response including any distribution system and gas related customer emergencies.- Perform emergency response standby duties as the need arises, acting as Incident Commander during a major incident as per the Ontario Operations Emergency Response Plan.- Provide backup to Supervisor Operations as the need arises.- Track progress of work and follow up on scheduling, materials, design, or construction problems.- Investigate customer complaints and inquiries and ensures that a timely and satisfactory solution is achieved.- Support the field staff to ensure operational efficiency and customer happiness.

Who You Are- Related university degree and a minimum of four (4) years' experience OR a minimum of six (6) years of previous field operations experience.

Equivalent combination of formal education and experience may be considered.- Strong technical knowledge resulting from exposure to distribution pipeline field operations or equivalent experience.- Proven communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.- Strong digital literacy.- Knowledge of OHSA and applicable environmental legislation is considered an asset.

- A GPI Ticket is desired

Working Conditions

This role is comprised of both office and field work (approximately 50% and 50%, respectively). A valid G license with a clean driver's abstract is required.

This role requires rotational emergency on-call duties (this will include evenings and weekends).
