What You Will Get To Do


Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning, the Asset Management Supervisor is responsible for establishing, maintaining and monitoring the asset management program for all assets owned by the Town.

Duties for this progressive role include, but are not limited to:


  • Municipal Asset Management Plan (MAMP)
  • lead the Town's asset management plan process in accordance with legislation. Undertake strategic planning and developing of capital budgets, maintenance programs, and future asset requirements. Responsible for establishing and maintaining policies and best practices related to the management of assets.

Budget and Forecast - improve the integration of the Municipal Asset Management Plan into the budget process. Utilize the MAMP to coordinate the ten-year capital forecast and long-term asset management reserve requirements.

Financial System Integration - ensure that processes and controls are in place for the timely, accurate, and complete reconciliation/reporting of tangible capital assets (e.g. acquisitions, disposals, write offs and work-in-progress) in the Asset Management Plan System, Citywide, and the financial system, WorkDay.

Inspection Programs - lead annual inspection programs of assets; such as, parking lots, retaining walls, sidewalks, and others.

Training and Best Practices - lead the development and delivery of asset management training to program/project managers in asset management budgeting, policies, procedures and guidelines and promote the use and improve the asset management process. Research and implement municipal best practices pertaining to asset management.

  • Other duties as required.
